Architect & Design Scholarship information (application is online) 1. Deadline for scholarship applications is May 8th (no exceptions). Criteria: 1. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior in the year of the award. 2. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher at the time of application. 3. Applicants must intend to pursue a design-related course of study post-high school. Application Process: Applicant must submit the following items: 1. Submit a cover letter identifies your interest in the scholarship and briefly describes what has caused your passion in the design field and what you would like to accomplish in the design industry. 2. Two letters of recommendations from choice of high school teacher/mentor, administrators, counselors, employers, or individual with significant knowledge of the applicant’s experience and an important characteristic or accomplishment of the applicant. 3. ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS WHO ARE ENROLLED IN DUAL CREDIT/ EARLY COLLEGE COURSE WORK: MCHS juniors and seniors have an opportunity to apply for an additional scholarship through the Martin Foundation. This scholarship is made possible through the Felix E. Martin, Jr. Foundation and is awarded each semester. Students must apply for the scholarship each semester before being considered as a recipient of it. Seniors: Please make sure your name is spelled correctly in IC. If you are a Jr, III, have a hyphen or apostrophe, etc., make sure it’s correct. This is how it will appear on your diploma and in the graduation program. Stop by the Guidance office and sign to verify accuracy with Shannon Sumner or during lunch with a counselor no later than Friday, 1/26/24. (nicknames are not allowed)
