During the regular monthly October meeting, the MCHS SBDM council decided to amend the attendance policy below to eliminate "summer school" as one of the activities students would be eligible to "buy back". This was contradictory to the new eligibility requirements for summer school, which states "10 unexcused whole days during the semester in which a student fails a class will disqualify the student for summer school eligibility." This change is effective immediately for the 2022-23 school year.

Congratulations to Troy Stovall, our Staculty Spotlight of the week and Anthony Valles, out Student Spotlight of the week.

Congratulations to Hannah Rager! She has made it to phase 2 of the Coca-Cola Scholarship. Phase 2 advancement had over 91,000 applicants and only 1557 made it through. The next Phase will only include the top 150 students. Regardless of the outcome, MCHS is extremely proud of her and we wish her the best.
"This is GREAT news! However, I am not surprised. Hannah is an amazing young person with so many talents. I love the fact that she is proving a small town kid can do ANYTHING when hard work is combined with opportunity." Ken Carver, principal
