This Is Our Moment Statement

From a community member about our Great News/Successes email… I love that you are still doing this!  What a great way to start a Monday.  Thank you for sharing.

I truly love being a part of Muhlenberg County Schools and especially being part of the MCMS family. There is something special about working with people who genuinely care about students, each other, and the community we serve.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be here, to contribute, and to grow alongside such a dedicated staff. I sincerely hope I am able to remain a part of this team for a very long time. It feels good to be somewhere where the work matters and where you can see the difference people are making every single day.

I am proud to be part of MC and excited to see what this year brings.

Our Kindergarten staff have really worked hard to assist with some students with some special needs.

From a parent…I’d also like to Shout Out the middle school admin. There are 2 new assistant principals, and the principal was there before but is in a much bigger role now. My child already knows exactly who is who (without having been in trouble haha). They are all making themselves present and visible by the students and I think that is phenomenal. I think big things are happening with our middle school, and I am so excited to see the culture they are building there.

From a parent…My son commented about how he thinks his teacher is going to be a great teacher.  Last night, he was working on homework for her class and was actually excited to show me what they were doing. That hasn't happened in a while. However, it was these statements from him that blew me away. "Mom, she talks about stuff we like and she listens to everyone. You can tell she really cares. She makes a connection with each kid."  "She teaches in a way that everybody can learn."  "She likes the nerdy stuff we like. She makes it (class time) fun." (This one made me laugh, but how awesome is that!). With two high school students, it's really awesome to hear them excited about classes.

One of my students told me that this is his favorite year and how much he enjoyed my class.  He told me on his way out that he loved this grade and didn’t want to leave. This is coming from a kid who “hates” school. I was very proud!

I just received a call from a college student who has just finished some clinical hours here and she loved our school so much that she wants to volunteer here.  She told me she was going to be a teacher and being at our school made her fall in love with teaching even more and she loved our school.  I don't know who all she worked with or observed but you made quite an impression as she had nothing but good things to say about our school. Thanks for making this a place that people want to be a part of.
