Kindergartener Kayson Bullock was enjoying an afternoon snack with his classmates this past Monday when he got choked. Mrs. Johnson, his teacher who has had training in first aid, realized the situation and began the Heimlich maneuver on him. When Mrs. Tooley who is CPR certified saw what was happening, she went over and assisted. Kayson soon dislodged the snack and went on to enjoy the rest of his day. This was truly a "Profile of Learner" moment in action. Thank you, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Tooley, for your prompt response to a scary situation for a young student!
