Get ready to Rock Your Socks!

Tomorrow MCMS will celebrate Crazy Sock Day in honor of Down Syndrome Awareness! Students and staff are invited to wear their brightest, silliest, most mismatched socks to help spread a message of inclusion and awareness.

Why socks? Chromosomes look like the shape of socks, and individuals with Down Syndrome have three copies of the 21st Chromosome instead of two. Wearing crazy socks is a fun way to start conversations and show support for our Down Syndrome community!

So dig through your drawers and find those wild, colorful socks to wear tomorrow! Let’s Rock Our Socks and celebrate differences together.
